Community & School Awareness Campaigns
Ummid Foundation is undertaking a series of self-funded Community & School Awareness Campaigns with the objective of promoting awareness, preventive education, dignity, safety, health and overall well-being among children, adolescents, women and vulnerable communities.
The initiative focuses on the following key areas:
Health & Hygiene & Menstrual Hygiene Awareness: Promoting personal hygiene, menstrual health, dignity and awareness among adolescent girls, women and communities. As part of the community outreach, Sanitary Kits and Nutrition Kits are also being distributed to women and vulnerable beneficiaries under the CSR Initiative supported by Aurues Investment.
Drug Awareness – Nasha Mukt Bharat: Creating awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse, prevention, early identification and the importance of adopting healthy and responsible lifestyle choices.
Right to Education (RTE): Sensitising communities about the importance of education, children’s educational rights, regular school participation and the prevention of school dropouts.
Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO): Conducting age-appropriate awareness sessions on child safety, good touch and bad touch, prevention, safe reporting mechanisms and the importance of creating a secure environment for every child.
Mental Health & Well-being: Promoting emotional well-being, stress management, positive coping mechanisms, peer support and awareness about seeking timely and appropriate support.
In the education sector, Ummid Foundation is also contributing through Vidyanjali – A School Volunteer Programme, under the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Through this initiative, the Foundation is engaging with schools and supporting awareness, learning and community development activities in Delhi/NCR and Government Schools in Nagaland.
Through these integrated interventions, Ummid Foundation aims to build healthier, safer, more informed and empowered communities and schools, ensuring that awareness is translated into meaningful action and positive social change.
