Target: 3500 Plus (2000 Govt School Girls and 1500 Women in Communities, Rural Villages/Panchayat)

Menstrual hygiene is a critical aspect of adolescent health, yet it is often surrounded by stigma and a lack of accurate information. A survey by the Menstrual Health Alliance India highlights common issues, including inadequate knowledge about proper hygiene practices and their impact on girls' education and overall well-being. This camp aims to break the silence and equip students with essential knowledge to manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence.

The primary objectives of this camp are:

The workshop aimed to build awareness about menstruation, personal hygiene, and the emotional and physical changes of puberty.

To empower girls & woman with knowledge and awareness on menstrual hygiene to manage their menstruation in a hygienic way in privacy, safety and with dignity at home, at school and in the community.

To raise awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups and preventive healthcare practices.

To educate the school community on healthy lifestyle choices, including proper nutrition, hygiene, and the importance of physical and mental well-being.

Social Work

Ummid Foundation – Hope for Human response to the pandemic was focused on reaching out to the vulnerable communities with dry ration and hygiene kits, raising awareness among the communities. Our goal was to provide health support and humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable families so that the impact of the crisis on children, girls and young women is mitigated. We also supported the initiative of Niti Aayog and various state Governments. We also engaged with the local government agencies, civil society organizations, Corporates and healthcare experts to spread COVID awareness messages among our beneficiaries and provide them with immediate relief measures to keep them healthy and protected during this pandemic.

Ummid Foundation – Hope for Human stands for the safety and well-being of its staff even as we continue to reach out to the most vulnerable population impacted by COVID. We adopted new ways of working to ensure that the employees can deliver from home as well as from the office. We reopened our offices with only 50 percent of staff.  Adequate precautions were followed as per the government guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of our team and associates.
