Transforming School Infrastructure & Empowering Through Awareness Campaigns. Ummid Foundation - Hope for Human, in collaboration with M/s Rockwell Automation India Pvt. Ltd., presents this project proposal to enhance the Educational Infrastructure in Remote Rural Schools of Delhi NCR.

The initiative is focused on creating a conducive learning environment through the following activities:

1. Establishment Smart Board (Installation of Smart Screen): The project seeks to equip schools with modern smart classrooms, integrating digital technology to improve the quality of teaching and foster interactive learning experiences.

2. Renovation of School Toilets & Boundary Wall: Recognizing the importance of hygiene and sanitation, the project will renovate and upgrade the existing school toilets, ensuring safe and clean facilities for students.

3. Safe Drinking Water Facility (Installation of Water Cooler & RO): Ensuring access to safe drinking water is a priority for the schools. The project will install reliable water filtration systems, promote students' health and reduce the risk of water-borne diseases.

4. Hygiene Training Programs (Installation of Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine & Sanitary Pad Incinerator Machine): In collaboration with health professionals, Menstrual Hygiene Awareness training sessions will be conducted to educate students on personal hygiene practices. Menstrual hygiene management is an essential part of public health, especially in schools and institutions. Improper disposal of used sanitary pads leads to environmental pollution, clogged drainage systems, and unhygienic surroundings. A sanitary pad incinerator offers a safe and efficient solution by reducing waste into harmless ash. This will help foster a healthy environment within the schools.

Community & School Awareness Campaigns Ummid Foundation is undertaking a series of self-funded Community & School Awareness Campaigns with the objective of promoting awareness, preventive education, dignity, safety, health and overall well-being among children, adolescents, women and vulnerable communities. The initiative focuses on the following key areas: Health & Hygiene & Menstrual Hygiene Awareness: Promoting personal hygiene, menstrual health, dignity and awareness among adolescent girls, women and communities.

As part of the community outreach, Sanitary Kits and Nutrition Kits are also being distributed to women and vulnerable beneficiaries under the CSR Initiative supported by Aurues Investment. Drug Awareness – Nasha Mukt Bharat: Creating awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse, prevention, early identification and the importance of adopting healthy and responsible lifestyle choices. Right to Education (RTE): Sensitising communities about the importance of education, children’s educational rights, regular school participation and the prevention of school dropouts. Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO):

Conducting age-appropriate awareness sessions on child safety, good touch and bad touch, prevention, safe reporting mechanisms and the importance of creating a secure environment for every child. Mental Health & Well-being: Promoting emotional well-being, stress management, positive coping mechanisms, peer support and awareness about seeking timely and appropriate support. In the education sector, Ummid Foundation is also contributing through Vidyanjali – A School Volunteer Programme, under the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Through this initiative, the Foundation is engaging with schools and supporting awareness, learning and community development activities in Delhi/NCR and Government Schools in Nagaland. Through these integrated interventions, Ummid Foundation aims to build healthier, safer, more informed and empowered communities and schools, ensuring that awareness is translated into meaningful action and positive social change.

The project was implemented in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely:SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 5 – Gender Equality & SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation.

The project included the following major interventions:

• Establishment of Smart Classrooms.

• Installation of Safe Drinking Water Facilities (RO Systems and Water Coolers).

• Installation of Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines and distribution of Sanitary PADs.

• Conducting Health, Hygiene, and Girls' Empowerment Awareness Programmes.

Enhancing the Educational Infrastructure in Thirty (30) Remote Rural Schools in the Districts of Ghaziabad & Meerut (Uttar Pradesh).

Elementary Education / Enabling Educational Infrastructure in Rural Schools in Delhi NCR.

Project : Enhancing Women’s Health and Children’s Elementary Education.

Introduction:

This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlines the terms and conditions for a collaborative Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project between Ummid Foundation - Hope for Human and M/S Pioneer Publicity Corporation Private Limited for Enhancing Women’s Health and Children’s Elementary Education in Dwarahat Block, Almora District (Uttarakhand)

The Primary objectives of this collaboration are:

The project aims to support women's health and hygiene through the distribution of nutrition kits and sanitary pads and by raising awareness through health and hygiene workshops. It also aims to support children in government schools with education kits and health and hygiene workshops.

Ummid Foundation – Hope for Human tie up with different Corporate, education institutions, Research Scholars, trainers to provide free training, education to the children for their better future. We organize education training for local community with the help of our volunteers and partner institutions; also implement the wisdom of traditional knowledge on contemporary problems.

Ummid Foundation – Hope for Human boost the confidence of unemployed people to build a career of their choice and help them to become self employed by skill development and by providing different trainings to get better employment which help them earn their bread and butter and live a respectful life in the society.

Elementary Education is the first stage in formal education. It is free and compulsory, for children (under privilege / Slum). The compulsory age for children to begin elementary school is five or six and elementary education may last for six years. Typical subjects include reading, writing, arithmetic, art, geography, history, physical education.

• Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) (Ministry of Rural Development). DDU-GKY is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), tasked with the dual objectives of adding diversity to the incomes of rural poor families and cater to the career aspirations of rural youth. Center at Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) associate partner with Nitya Foundation.
• Shiv Nadar Foundation (HCL Group) - VidhyaGyan Leadership Academy Ummid Foundation has collaborated partner for a National Search hunt for Underprivileged and Rural meritorious children in India’s most populated and mostunderdeveloped States to get free education admission..
• Ummid Foundation is running free Computer (DTP) training centre for poor children at Delhi 110092.
• Elementary Education Programs for Slum Childers at New Delhi 110032.
• Free Coaching for Board Examinations preparations for 10^th and 12^th Students at Dwarahat Dist Almora Uttarakhand.
