The Delhi NCR region, home to over 30 million people, faces severe environmental challenges, necessitating an urgent tree plantation initiative. The region consistently ranks among the world's most polluted cities, with PM2.5 levels often exceeding safe limits by up to 20 times during peak pollution seasons (WHO, 2022). This pollution crisis leads to significant health issues, including respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, affecting millions of residents.

Introduction:
This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlines the terms and conditions for a collaborative Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project between Ummid Foundation - Hope for Human and SAVE Microfinance Pvt Ltd. In the face of escalating environmental concerns, it is imperative to cultivate a conscious effort towards waste management and reduction. "Green Steps" is a comprehensive waste awareness campaign aimed at fostering sustainable habits and advocating for responsible waste disposal. Through targeted education, engagement, and community involvement, the campaign intends to ignite a collective commitment toward a cleaner and greener future.
Campaign Objectives:
Raise awareness about the environmental impact of improper waste disposal. Encourage the adoption of eco-friendly practices for waste reduction and recycling. Foster community engagement and participation in waste management initiatives.
Empower individuals and communities to take ownership of their environmental footprint. Create a long-term behavioral change towards sustainable waste management practices.
